Principal Data Analytics Architect

The Principal Data Analytics Architect acts as a lead for the development of analytics product packages as driven by Epicor's product roadmap or customer contracts with a key focus on matching the final user experience with a business case. Uses market trends to deliver innovative solutions for the front-end analytics user experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform in-depth data analysis, leveraging modern/advanced analytical techniques to extract insights and solve complex business problems
  • Act as lead when working on a 360-degree basis across the cross-functional analytics product team including DW engineers, ETL software engineers, data sciences engineers, data production staff, nd industry SMEs, and also directly engaging customers to orchestrate the final analytics solution.
  • Use knowledge on market trends to innovate and integrate analytics technology and new data sources to keep our analytics solutions current in the fast-involving analytics market space.
  • Assist product operations managers and staff in developing and delivering high analytics availability and performance to meet or exceed customer contract service levels.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data visualization requirements and create user-friendly and actionable dashboards using MicroStrategy
  • Ensure data accuracy and the quality of analytical outputs
  • Implement best practices for data governance and data management
  • Build strong relationships with senior management and provide recommendations for strategic direction
  •  Act as a lead for the Data Analytics Architect organization and provides expert guidance on complex escalated cases.

What you will likely bring:

  • Strong proficiency in data visualization & analytics architecture and best practices
  • Expert level experience in MicroStrategy as an analytics front-end toolset
  • Experience using SQL and/or Python to analyze large datasets.
  • Exposure to data modeling, ELT processes, and data warehousing design principles
  • Background and experience in medium to large IT initiatives leveraging formalized requirements, agile/iterative development methods, and formalized change management processes
  • Creative, flexible, and collaborative in approach to technical problem-solving and data-driven design

What could set you apart:

  • 10+ years experience in building, deploying, and supporting large-scale analytics solutions and end-to-end architecture.
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in computer science/statistics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Academic or industry exposure to big data solutions in areas such as predictive maintenance, and inventory management use cases preferred
  • Advanced Degree in applied mathematics subject such as Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline preferred
  • Academic or industry exposure to AI and machine learning methods preferred
  • Experience with API design, development, and testing preferred.
