HR Operations Specialist

About the Role: 

The HR Specialist supports multiple HR Operational processesincluding the new hire onboarding, background checks,requisition approval, terminations and employee data fileadministration. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Assist with employee data maintenance and reporting.
  • Create and maintain active and terminated employee files.
  • Ensure employee verification documents (I-9) are completed in compliance with governmental guidelines.
  • Process and monitor background checks for external candidates; manage US Adverse action process.
  • Send out e-mail notifications for new hires and personnel changes to Human Resources/IT.
  • Manage terminations process through ticket creation and sending exit materials; communicate with benefits andpayroll regarding authorization of severance/COBRA commencement.
  • Partner with recruiting & HR to manage the onboarding process for new/temporary hires and internal transfers.
  • Coordinate and manage the requisition and offer review and approval process.
  • Create offer, promotion and internal change letters for internal and external candidates in a timely manner.
  • Conduct orientation sessions with new hires.
  • Manage temp process including extensions, terminations, communications to hiring managers andcommunication to the payrolling vendor.
  • Monitor and respond to emails, answer employees, new hire or hiring manager questions, background checkquestions, process questions, candidate questions.
  • Monitor HR Shared Services Mailbox and respond to employee inquiries.

What You Need to Succeed: 

  • Knowledge of HR Operations.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Avature preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete tasks on deadlines.

Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart: 

  • 1+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
