Senior Data Conversion Consultant | Prophet 21

Are you a skilled data conversion consultant who can help new and existing users of Prophet 21, a leading enterprise software solution for distributors? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. You will be responsible for delivering all the key components of the data conversion process and tasks, including go live, for our clients throughout North America. This is a billable position that requires excellent technical and communication skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation.

What you will be doing: 

  • Lead, monitor, and communicate the progress of all data conversion activities including budget and timelines
  • Perform electronic data conversions for customers, including:
    • Provide extraction guidance
    • Validate extracted data
    • Perform source to destination data mapping
  • Create custom SQL scripting to perform mass updates and other data transformations
  • Troubleshoot and provide resolution to import data errors
  • Import data into Prophet 21 using standard import tools
  • Develop, revise, refine data conversion tools and methodologies

What you will likely bring:

  • Strong technical background in database development using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience in leveraging multiple data conversion methodologies
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid understanding of wholesale distribution including strong knowledge of general business processes such as accounting, inventory management, and order processing desired 
  • Ability and availability for occasional night and weekend work

Qualification:

  • 5+ years technical consulting, software engineering, ETL, data conversion, or similar profession
  • Bachelors’ degree – CS, Business, MIS, IS, Distribution, Operations, Logistics, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Prophet 21 software applications is preferred
