About the Role

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineer provides the sales force (direct and channel) in-depth knowledge of the technical requirements and business use of our products in order to close EDI sales opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Support the sales organization with planning and conducting all software, SaaS, and Outsourcing demonstrations and discoveries for prospective and existing clients. 
• Obtain clients’ project plans, and identify technical specifications and requirements to proactively be able to provide solutions and ensure these are met for each client connection.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed and accurate statements-of-work (SOWs).
• Provide product, service, or technical information by answering questions and requests. 
• Obtain and understand EDI specifications from trading partners and clients.
• Serve as a liaison between development, implementation and sales regarding technical questions/expectations.
• Stay current and knowledgeable on company products, integrations and services.
• Create and maintain the demonstration database and system implementations.
• Provide on-going training, technical and customer service support to sales organization.
• Travel to client or prospects as requested (approximately 20% travel).
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, or when current responsibilities are changed with or without notice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience of presales or technical support, preferably within the EDI or integration space or equivalent operational EDI experience.
• Documented experience of giving customer presentations / demonstrations
• Demonstrated ability to develop clear and coherent written proposals, project reports and technical evaluations, including SOWs

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a presales or technical support role is required; EDI-experience a plus
