Description & Requirements

The Job:
The Principal Frontend Developer will create and maintain UI component libraries, collaborating with the UX team to translate designs into reusable components for top-tier retail applications. You'll own UI architecture and ensure best practices are followed in day-to-day development.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and maintain UI component libraries in line with UX designs for consistent retail applications.
  • Own and implement UI architecture, ensuring best practices across the product development team.
  • Collaborate with UX, architects, and senior developers to define and build reusable UI components.
  • Ensure proper use of front-end frameworks' theming, styles, and behavior.
  • Oversee the consistency of UI elements like typography, color, and layout.
  • Guide UI technology direction, including stack selection and idea prototyping.
  • Mentor technical leads and architects to enhance engineering practices.
  • Serve as the primary UI expert for development teams.

What you will likely bring:

  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Angular and AngularJS.
  • Familiarity with third-party component libraries (e.g., Telerik/Kendo).
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • 10+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • 4+ years of specialized/industry experience.
