Senior Implementation Consultant | Prophet 21

The Senior Prophet 21 Implementation Consultant plays a pivotal role in our organization, focusing on providing comprehensive on-site consulting and training services to both new and existing users of Prophet 21 across North America. This critical position is entrusted with delivering every essential aspect of the implementation process, with the ultimate objective of successfully transitioning our valued customers to a live and functional state on Prophet 21.

What you will be doing: 

  • Train new users on Prophet 21 application(s) on-site and consult on best business practices fitting their company's needs to our software
  • Be able to listen, assess, prioritize customer issues, and provide them with recommendations on how best to utilize their Prophet 21 system to resolve their issues or help them to achieve their business goals.
  • Consult with existing users on-site to enhance utilization of the software and to increase customers' operational efficiencies 
  • Develop customer relationships, generate leads and work with sales team
  • Provide weekly written internal reports documenting customer engagements as well as formal reports to customers identifying areas of improvement and outlining recommendations

What you will likely bring:

  • Ability to meet utilization targets and complete project deliverables on time
  • Project management skills and strong technical background are required
  • Ability to perform work plans, identify resource requirements, establish priorities for available resources and monitor the performance of project tasks
  • Solid understanding of  accounting functionality required
  • Perform training and knowledge sharing with peers
  • Ability and availability for overnight travel throughout North America. Travel averages 60%, but can vary.

Qualification:

  • Knowledge of Prophet 21 software applications is required
  • 7+ years consulting, business application training or customer support experience in the software industry
  • 5+ years applicable distribution industry and/or demonstrated success/knowledge
  • Bachelors’ degree (or equivalent experience)
