Senior Technical Consultant | Prophet 21

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in consulting engagements and lead the way in implementing high-quality solutions? Join us as a Senior Technical Consultant and contribute to the success of our team. In this role, you will use requirements analysis, customer service expertise and software development skills in the latest technology and tools to create solutions that support implementations of Epicor Prophet 21.

What you will be doing: 

  • Analyze requirements as well as clarify scope and breadth of work with Application Consultants and/or customer
  • Document and estimate development and deployment of customer projects - including quote, scope, design, prioritization, and acceptance criteria
  • Follow coding standards
  • Perform acceptance testing during and throughout the development cycle
  • Perform demonstrations of project functionality to customers
  • Work independently on small to midsized projects and interact with members of cross-functional teams
  • Identify issues and risks to Project Manager with suggested direction
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with customers to obtain a deep understanding of customer needs and environments
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and anticipate issues or conditions that may impact the original estimate or project budget

What you will likely bring:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of distribution, supply chain, light manufacturing, and/or accounting concepts
  • Troubleshooting/Debugging skills
  • Customer-centric, results oriented, self-starter, and able to work independently
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including virtual presentations
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally

Qualification:

  • 4+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 2+ years of distribution/manufacturing industry experience
  • Required Database Development: Microsoft SQL Server and C#
  • Preferred Experience: .NET technologies, RESTful services using JSON and OData, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 or Kinetic Software preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
