The Job:

The Professional Services Sales Architect, Principal provides expertise through presentations and demonstrations of products, as well as providing guidance to the PSA team on industry knowledge and best practices.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to the PS Sales Architect team through proactive training, sharing knowledge, and communicating best practices.
  • Support sales teams by helping develop consulting engagement structure, proposals, and statements of work.
  • Conduct current state capabilities and process assessments across business functions and apply best practices, industry research, and competitor research to drive an optimized future state capability and process architecture.
  • Analyze the profitability the risk potential for each engagement and recommend the solution that will satisfy the client while maximizing the profitability and reducing the overall project risk.
  • Assist with prospect discovery sessions, demos and planning meetings.
  • Prepare and provide requirements definition or estimates for quoting implementations.
  • Ensure a full and proper handoff of contracts from sales process to implementation process.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Participate and attend User Group and customer functions to reinforce customer rapport; such as product demos, value add workshops, customer events.
  • Address escalations regarding professional services and implementation issues.
  • Develops and implements best practices across the organization.
  • Represents the organization at conferences or outside events.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to close new business
  • Relevant experience in the Computer Software industry
  • Confident and experienced negotiator able to drive revenue
  • Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and executive staff
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize competing requests
  • Knowledge of revenue forecasting
  • Leadership and teambuilding skills
  • Up to 50% travel


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years applicable consulting experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 3+ years consulting in the manufacturing, distribution, or finance industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Ongoing technical certifications to keep up with industry.
