About Us:

Epicor Software is a global technology leader dedicated to helping businesses drive growth for more than 45 years. Our modern, industry-specific software helps customers boost efficiency and productivity by simplifying and automating everyday processes. We have a stellar team of nearly 4,000 worldwide employees, who are passionate about building exceptional products and solutions through teamwork, constant innovation, and integrity. We strive to hire and reward star players, who inspire one another and drive results for the business and our customers.

About The Role:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing practical and robust solutions that will be used by Epicor’s customers. Working closely with other Custom Solutions Group (CSG) team members, the Solutions Architect will also be involved with the project management of the CSG components that will form part of any overall project. Although primarily office based, the role may require travel (both locally and overseas) from time to time.

What You’ll Do:

Capturing, analysing and gaining a detailed understanding of customer requirements

Working with other CSG team members to produce estimates and quotes in a timely fashion

Designing solutions within the Epicor product suite using a sensible approach that satisfies requirements and delights customers

Work with CSG team members, customers and consultants (both internal and external to the Epicor organization) to ensure solutions can be implemented within budget, to project deadlines and are maintainable

Resident application “guru”, directing CSG team members on both developing functionality and assisting in the resolution of issues reported in CSG solutions

What You’ll Need:

A minimum of 5 years ERP application experience (in-house ERP or Vendor / Partner)

             Good understanding of business processes

Experience of capturing customer requirements and creating solution designs based on these requirements

Software Development / Technical Consulting background or a Functional Consulting background with an appreciation of bespoke/customized solutions

Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English)

Diplomacy skills to challenge over poor approaches, knowing when a customization is appropriate and when it should be avoided

             Strong customer facing skills

Project management skills which include the ability to coordinate tasks across multiple projects, delivering within budget and deadlines

Skills That Will Set You Apart:

             Background in Software Development

Knowledge of MS SQL and Visual C#

             Experience with Jira

Experience with MS TFS and Bitbucket

About the candidate:

You will be an architect working with ERP products, a “veteran” consultant who has worked on many implementation projects and experienced in stepping around common mistakes found in custom solutions or a very experienced ERP developer who has experience in design and is now looking for a sideways move into a role where design is the focus.
