Description & Requirements

The Job:
We seek a Senior Full-Stack Kotlin Developer with a thorough understanding and significant experience in building full-stack web applications. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, open to new frameworks and technologies, self-motivated in developing features, and prepared to work within a distributed team environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust full-stack web applications with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
  • Be a proactive, independent contributor within a distributed development team.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies and frameworks to meet the project's needs.
  • Maintain and manage a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

What you will likely bring:  

  • At least 5 years of commercial software development experience in back-end or full-stack roles.
  • Expertise in Kotlin and Java 8+.
  • Proficiency in the Spring Boot framework.
  • Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with both microservice and monolithic architectures.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in unit/integration testing, with a good understanding of testing frameworks such as JUnit/TestNG/Mocking/Test Containers.
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles and design patterns.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team.

What could set you apart: 

  • Familiarity with Spring Cloud and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of containerization with Kubernetes and Redis as a data store.
  • Experience with front-end development frameworks like Vaadin 8+ and familiarity with JavaScript/CSS.
