About the Role:

At Grow.com an Epicor company, Sr Pre-Sales Consultant empower everyone to make data driven decisions. Your role will be to help others lead with data and help them to be the champion of their business's success. The sales team will rely on your expertise and in-depth technical knowledge to help close critical opportunities and look to you to explain complex topics simply and eloquently. You will also be tasked with leadership responsibilities and training your peers.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the Account Managers by taking a consultative role in the customers’ evaluation process, including answering all technical or integration questions, identifying potential issues or gaps, and managing trial accounts
  • Participate in product demos and lead trials specific to the prospect’s needs, goals, and unique scenario
  • Provide a deep level of product knowledge and skillfully answer product-related questions during the sales cycle
  • Support the sales team by responding to RFPs, preparing custom quotes, and writing up statements of work or pricing when needed.
  • Act as the technical project manager/liaison for coordinating internal resources, account management and client, and work with internal technical resources to ascertain the feasibility and fit from a technical perspective
  • Build internal resources to meet Account Management demo needs (i.e. Demo Dashboards, Help articles, How to videos and articles and documents, Custom SQL, etc.)
  • Explain technical concepts, deeply understand the business case for the product, the ROI and use cases, the competitive landscape, differentiation and more.
What You Need to Succeed:

  • 4-7 years of analytics/data engineering, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI
  • Experience presenting to a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modeling
  • A firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures 


Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:

  • Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with Grow.com or experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Domo, Sisense, Zoho, Qlik, Looker, SAS, Power BI, etc).
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
