About the Role: 
Epicor is seeking a versatile finance professional to join as a key member of the Controllership’s organization, to define and execute overall strategy that will transform the Record-to-Report team into a world class industry leading organization. The Senior Accounting Manager, M&A and Strategic Projects role will lead the team in optimizing the structure, improve efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes, enhance governance and build scalable solutions for future growth. This role will also drive the M&A accounting and integration activities. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner for our Finance functional leadership and key decision makers in our most strategic projects, including M&As with ability to identify, define, manage and communicate value in these projects.

What You’ll Do:
Lead the global accounting functions in identifying and prioritizing continuous process improvement across the finance function and use cases for finance process automation
Independently plan, lead, and execute multiple complex accounting projects while collaborating effectively with other cross-functional teams globally, and effectively leveraging best practices and industry standards 
Facilitate discussion of business changes and collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define and document overall project goals, system and process design, deliverables, and timeline
Own the ongoing delivery of strategic projects including progress tracking, issue identification, escalation, resolution support, status reporting and stakeholder communication
Establish strong relationships within Finance, IT, Engineering, and key business partners
Be responsible for financial analysis during due diligence and integration of new acquisitions into Epicor’s financial policies and processes, including creation of integration plan, organizing Day 1 activities, and implementing integration activities through plan completion
Lead team in recording acquisition related activities, including opening balance sheet and monthly activity prior to integration.
Perform other accounting, finance, and project management duties as assigned
Manage and develop professional staff

What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA License preferred
8+ years accounting experience, public accounting preferred 
3+ years managing and developing employees
Advanced understanding and application knowledge of M&A accounting rules under US GAAP
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis including an advanced understanding of business combinations, purchase accounting, consolidation, inter-company transactions, and lease accounting
Knowledge of purchase accounting rules and net working capital estimates and true ups
Solid knowledge on internal controls and back-office process to be able to identify and correct control gaps along with identifying potential synergies
Ability to manage relationships in a cross functional complex environment with business organizations (Accounting, Procurement, IT, Legal, Support, Finance, etc.)
Understanding of business processes related to General Ledger, Close and Consolidation, Cash Management, Statutory/Secondary Ledgers, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, and internal control concepts

Strong presentation skills, including ability to anticipate questions and perspectives and provide timely and well thought out answers
Collaborative, versatile, candid communicator, good listener with sensitivity to multiple styles and perspectives, who is able to build and foster relationships with cross functional audience
Experience with multi-company and multi-location environment
Hands-on experience with fully integrated accounting system
