Technical Application Specialist
The Technical Application Specialist diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs and debugs software, network systems and/or hardware. Documents and escalates issues as necessary.
What you will be doing:
- Conferring with customers via support system, email or phone to diagnose application and or system defects by troubleshooting and testing solutions, fully document and escalate if necessary.
- Prioritize cases and keep them up to date on the Call Logging System
- Communicate updates effectively and promptly to the customer.
- Collaborate with the development team to report defects that have been replicated on internal environments.
- Stays up to date with software updates and/or changes to be able to provide timely and accurate solutions to customers.
- Contributes and uses department's knowledge base articles and FAQ's.
What you will likely bring:
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing using the English Language
- Customer service experience skills
- Knowledge of specific system application fundamentals and business processes
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in a support environment with high call volumes desired with first line or equivalent Second Line Experience
- 3+ years applicable experience in customer support for ERP software
- Industry knowledge/experience
- Experience with MRP processes
- Experience with writing SQL queries to return data from customer tables
