About the role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal UX Designer to lead our user experience design efforts and drive innovation in our Epicor cloud products. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a creative problem solver, and a hands-on leader who can inspire and mentor a team of UX designers. As a Principal UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our product portfolio, ensuring it aligns with user needs, business goals, and industry best practices.

What you will do:

• Design user experience based on established business processes and industry best practices.
• Develop, clarify and articulate the design vision through scenarios, storyboards, sketches, mockups, prototypes, interaction flows and wireframe specifications.
• Ability to balancing user needs, business goals, technical constraints and translating them into concepts and functional components.
• Leading and/or participating in immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing.
• Establish a design approach based on what is possible, what will resonate with customers, and what will meet business objectives.
• Create models, prototype designs and taxonomies based on the target user that minimize the reduce the learning curve, reduce frustration, and maximize return on investment, while increasing the accuracy, efficiency and usefulness of the final product.
• Develop and clearly articulate the right approach for navigation systems, labeling/taxonomy systems and searching systems that will most improve performance and support customer goals and needs.
• Facilitate decision-making and create synergy between business and development teams.
• Create holistic design solutions for a variety of platforms that address business, brand, and user requirements.
• Effectively communicate and articulate design rationale and conceptual ideas.
• Collaborate with the design team to identify, define, and drive the design direction for a variety of interactive projects within established patterns of the design system.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams on end-to-end design initiatives throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Lead multiple projects independently from start to finish, participating in all phases of design; must be able to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor.
• Hyper-focused on pixel-perfect design handoff, delivery and front-end QA of implemented development work.

What you will need to succeed:

• 6 to 9 years of experience in UX Design (focus on desktop application UX design)
• Full proficiency using Figma within screen design, design systems and prototyping.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in user research methodologies, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design improvements.
• Strong understanding of design systems, information architecture, and interaction design principles.
• Experience in ERP industry
• Visual flow and ticket issuing tools (Omnigraffle, Visio, Miro, Figjam, Jira, etc…)
