Description & Requirements

The Job:

Contributing member of the web developer team. Design, implement, test and document code development for new web functionalities and enhancements. Collaborate with testers, designers and other stakeholders to deliver excellent end-to-end experiences for customers and prospects of Epicor public websites. Suggest website code, integrations and process improvements.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible to present latest website design and development techniques, technologies, guidelines and recommendations.
  • Responsible for development (design, implement, test) of our Interfaces that meet system requirements.
  • Debugging code errors, troubleshooting and fixing software issues.
  • Work closely with other engineers, product designers, product managers, and data scientists to deliver features and applications.
  • Assists with quality and usability testing of web pages to ensure compliance with departmental quality standards.
  • Optimizes applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Communicate insights and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to enable faster strategy iteration.
  • Responsible for other web/digital related projects as assigned.

    You bring (most) of this!:
  • Software engineering fundamentals including design and analysis of computational algorithms, data structure design, implementation, documentation and testing.  (B.S. Computer Science or Equivalent)
  • Hands on experience with relevant technologies and programming languages
  • Understanding of software engineering processes including development standards, and related tools (e.g. Jira, Wrike, etc.)
  • Must Have Skills (1-2 year of experience)
    C# .NET MVC 5 framework or greater
  • SQL Server experience
  • API REST services consumption
  • HTML, JavaScript, JSON, CSS (3 or more years)

Technical/Functional skills

  • Understands customer needs and solves customer problems through modifications of high level technical designs, implementation and testing within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Creates clearly documented personal goals, plans, designs and results and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Quickly creates reasonable estimates of schedule and task estimates of own deliverables
  • Compares, contrasts, and prioritizes among alternative approaches to meeting those objectives
  • Uses judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities
  • Responsible for appropriate levels of quality on owned deliverables(s)
