People who are successful are usually self-motivated learners. They don’t need external influences to ‘force’ them to gain new skills or knowledge. In the “How I learn?” series Epicor Executives are talking about how they learn and where they draw their wisdom from.

Epicor Careers: Can you share your growth story and how you reached at the level you are today?

Cassandra Saxton: Started in February of 2013 as a Business Development Representative for Manufacturing. I was able to quickly promote to a Field Marketing Specialist within Manufacturing. While working as a Marketing Specialist I worked with everything from; online programs, email campaigns, live events, and tradeshows. When I started looking to expand my career, the Manager of the Inbound Manufacturing Business Development team utilized all of my past experience in marketing and business development. I am now able to manage the team that follows up on all of field marketing's activities with an understanding of how they are obtained and the job itself!

"Knowledge is power. Knowledge is confidence. The best thing about Epicor is the opportunity to learn something new every single day."

Epicor Careers: How do you find the motivation and time to learn and stay current? Or, what motivates you to learn?

Cassandra Saxton: Knowledge is power. Knowledge is confidence. The best thing about Epicor is the opportunity to learn something new every single day. The foundation of my drive for success is knowledge.

Epicor Careers: If someone is looking to join Epicor, what should he/she should look forward to?

Cassandra Saxton: A culture that empowers their employees to succeed. The internal mobility and career opportunities within Epicor offer employees the opportunity to expand their platform and build the best employee you can be. Everyone should want to work for a company that believes and invests in their employees!
